WHAT IS TRUCK SPONSORSHIP?
Truck sponsorship allows you to sponsor a truckload of food, personal care items and other necessities to children and families in need. In 2009, Feed The Children distributed over 133 million pounds of food and other essentials to 
impoverished families.
Each truck sponsorship delivers 400 boxes of food, 400 boxes of personal care items and 4 pallets of miscellaneous product. The food, hygiene and miscellaneous product are individually packaged for convenient distribution and contain a wide variety of essential items such as canned vegetables, pasta, soup, lotion, soap, etc. For only $7,200, you can underwrite the cost of transportation for an entire semi-truck of pre-boxed product and see your community changed for the better.
WHO BENEFITS?
Children and families in need throughout the 48 continental United States and the District of Columbia. We work with thousands of carefully screened partner agencies (food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, etc.) across the country to identify the individuals within each community who will most benefit from this service. During times of disaster, Feed The Children combines efforts with other relief agencies to provide food, medical supplies and other emergency items. Our partner agencies select families in need within your community and distribute vouchers to these families to be redeemed on the day of the food drop.
THE DETAILS
The retail value of the items distributed in each truckload is approximately $35,000 - $50,000. Feed The Children and its corporate partners provide these items free of charge to all recipients. Each box of food weighs approximately 26 pounds and will help a family of four for approximately one week.
